Eli's introduction to tattooing came from his uncle who was an artist when he was younger. Growing up, Eli was always drawing every chance he could get. At the time he sort of knew it was something he wanted to do but was not of age to start. Fast forward 10 years, after trying college twice, working a miserable retail job for almost 7 years he finally found his way back to doing something he always dreamt about. After leaving his retail job in August of 2023, I decided to start as an apprentice at Phoenix in September.

A note from Eli:

Since starting my apprenticeship I feel like I have found purpose. The shop feels like home away from home and I wouldn’t trade the feeling being at the shop brings me for the world. When I’m not at the shop I’m home hanging with my girlfriend Tara, playing video games, or riding my Harley.
